We are a people, all of us who promise loyalty to the stars and stripes, all of us who defend the United States of America. What we have already achieved gives us hope – the audacity to hope – for what we can and must achieve tomorrow. With deep gratitude and great humility, I accept your appointment as president of the United States. Washington has been talking about our oil dependency over the past three decades and John McCain has been there for twenty-six of them. Likewise, it is important that Western countries do not prevent Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit, for example by dictating which clothes to wear a Muslim woman.
Go to the counties around Chicago, and people will tell you that they do not want their taxes to be wasted, from a welfare agency or the Pentagon. Now is the time to finally keep the promise of accessible and accessible health care for every single American. The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of coexistence and cooperation, but also conflicts and religious wars.
These people are a part of me. America, now is not the time for small plans. Kennedy defined our “intellectual and moral strength”. That’s why we are collaborating with a coalition of forty-six countries.
They know they have to work hard to keep going – and they want it. And in return, I will ask for higher standards and more responsibility. As a young man, I worked in the communities of Chicago where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith. There is no need to be a contradiction between development and tradition.
His father – my grandfather – was a cook, a domestic servant of the English. Yet it has only been in the last two weeks that the discussion of race in this campaign has taken a particularly divisive turn. Now there are no doubts. I will rebuild our armed forces to face future conflicts.
Thank you, and God bless America.
